It was pressed and baked to because he was using the pipe-tobacco Cavendish method. Cavendish tobacco is more a “processing” and not a type, though usually it’s Virginia Burl or others. I’m interested what it was he sprayed it with (ie. rum or cherry juice) before pressing. I’m very interested on the taste. How’d it taste, spiracy?
no cuz hes paying for the papers and stuff
As Long As You Grow It For Yourself,If You grow it and sell it you must pay taxes on it.
why did you bake your tobacco? the brick and cuttiing I get, but why the oven bit? I am growing my own for the second year this season, and you can cure, ferment age, brick shred and smoke without baking…..is there an advantage that I have missed?
Great vids tho man, I love your set up
I wonder what it taste like, Boy i thought that once it was dried you could smoke it I was wrong. Nice videos
I wander if this is legal. Cant they bust you for tax evasion or something ?
Great video . How long did it take from start to harvest ?
Thank you for the useful tips .. for growing tobacco, I just started last year, so I always meet good advice … the way I live in Slovakia
… you have any chance e-mail address? if I had a problem with something so I would like to consult with you: D. .. thank you yet
oven temp I used: 120oC for 20mins (experimental) because its wrapped in tin foil it steam fuses the flavour in (I found), flavour I used was alcohol first batch was Wild Turkey aged 8 years 50% alcohol 101 proof. Tasted just like port royal whiskey, but with a more fresher taste and drag. depending on what you like you could experiment with anything wine, rum, tequila, etc. As for the cutting kit I’ve just bought another one today I live in NZ tho so google cuthof click 2nd link ship internatnl
I wonder where you can still buy such a grinder or tobacco and the tobacco fermented to add some flavor ..thanks
how long the tobacco is needed in the oven to ferment, and how many degrees
He is wetting (either with a flavour eg whiskey, or water) the air dried / smell cured leaves to be molded into a brick to be put through a cutter. The oven bit is to dry the brick somewhat and to burn off any alcohol, The mold brick and grinder are from the “Cuthof cutting kit” designed especially for tobacco (available in stores). The hand grinder perfectly shreds the tobacco, you may also need to further dry the tobacco once shredded to a burning stage, fan dry on some cardboard does this.
what does the curing process do?
my first attempt they died on the 5th week
that was 5 years a go
Forget taxes. I am growing my own, till the day that I die. Inhale for the great video.
@labantolaban
as its been wet, its all the moisture coming from the leaves, letting it dry and moudling it into a brick (before the oven…)
just water from the baccy
That’s some top flavoring/enhancer so that the tobacco will taste better when it’s smoked. If that’s not put on it, it will taste very bitter.
Believe it or not, that’s all the moisture coming out of the leaves. The tobacco has to be wet so it can be molded into a brick before it can be cut. The mold squeezes out all the moisture.
where did yuou get the seeds mate?
what is that black shit coming out/off of you tobacco?
i don’t know if i’d want to smoke that
hey dude, beautiful video!
enjoy the fruits of your labor!!
