I’m going to Bahamas soon and what to a Cuban cigar and try it. I don’t want to spend a whole bunch of money.
that is right Bahamas is not U.S. and i have found a very large shop off of the beaten path. Thanks for the tips. I will check out the options, has anyone tried to bring them back? If so any luck?
Firstly I doubt that you can buy real Cuban cigars in the Bahamas.
They are illegal on US territory. Many of the cigars sold as real Cuban
cigars are counterfeits or not original Cuban cigars. For example the Cuban Cohiba is a famous trade mark, but alot of the the Cohiba cigars are made in the Dominican Republic and are not original Cuban cigars.
The cheapest Cuban cigars are the “Selectos” brand sold in Cuba at
1 peso convertible (1.25 USD) a pack of 25 pieces.
What the previous poster said – tourist destinations are notorious for counterfeit cigars if you do not know what you are looking for. A bit confused but it seems like he is saying that the Bahamas is a US Territory, which it is not.
La Casa del Habanos stores are your best bet to find the real deal, but I don’t recall if there is one in the Bahamas
JMHO, but if you are going to try a Cuban, this may be your only chance – don’t cheap out and buy a sub par quality one…..
EDIT
If you are not a regular cigar smoker, a good cigar to try is the Diplomaticos #2.
I have never brought back Cuban cigars from the Bahamas, but I have heard of ‘people’ who have brought them back from Croatia, Cayman islands, Spain, etc.
Hi I really don’t know if you are talking about tobaco or cigarrets ok the best tobaco is Cohiba and for me the best cigarrets are “Popular” “H uma” and “Hollywood”. Green. They are really good.
It will be hard to find a genuine Cuban cigar in the Bahamas. I was there and 95% were fake. In Cuba the cheapest cigar is the El Sucre. Similar to a Montecristo #4 in taste and is 25 cigars for $1.00 CUC Peso.
